Santa came to our house!

Because Ellie invited 11 girls to her friend party, we decided to have all of the cousins over the next night for a separate "Cousin Movie Night". I may be crazy, but not crazy enough to have 20 kids at my house all at the same time. We popped popcorn and the kids watched "Bridge to Terabithia" (thanks Shelli for the present) and played. About an hour into it we heard a knock at the door. I opened the door and it was Santa with a plate of cookies. We invited him in, because we were sure he didn't have anything better to do, and called all the kids upstairs. Carters eye's lit up like little Christmas trees. He was in total amazement that Santa would come to our house. We asked Santa to sit on the couch for a picture, because again we were sure he had nothing better to do! Carter reminded him several times that he was in need of a new bike. We all thanked Santa for coming waved goodbye. Carter peeked out the blinds as he left and asked, "Mom why's Santa getting into a car." Jeff quickly explained that the reindeer didn't get their magic that makes them fly until Christmas Eve (quick thinking). Carter bought that excuse and went on his merry way. As Carter walked away Taeler (out 10 year old niece) whispered to me "So did you hire him or what?"! Thanks Santa. It made for a fun night., and saved me a trip to see you at the mall on Monday!
